Super Hero Christmas

Hello Heroes!

Help Santa deliver Christmas presents to the children. The following is  a game called "Christmas Super Hero": "The blue presents must be delivered to the boys and the pink presents must be delivered to the girls. If a present that Santa drops doesn't look like it will fall to the right person, catch it and make sure it does. Use the arrow keys to move your superhero. Press space bar to throw a present."
Here is the link.  Have fun:  Christmas Superhero
So, it got me to thinking about what heroes do on Xmas?  Of the two DC is usually the more festive:

Yes, Tyrone, There Is a Santa Claus - "DC Infinite Holiday Special" (2007)This synopsis comes from http://www.comicsalliance.com/: "DC's Christmas offerings over the past few years have been pretty hit-or-miss, but this one is the biggest bright spot of the bunch by far. Clocking in at a slim ten pages, Kelley Puckett and Pete Woods bring you the hilarious story of Superman being so moved by a child's letter asking if Santa exists that he decides to play Santa himself to restore his faith... and then reconsiders once Batman shows up on his jetpack and calls him pathetic."
Personally, I can't image a darker Xmas than hanging with the Dark Knight, even DC agrees, as depicted in the following:
The Silent Night of the Batman - "Batman" #219 (1970)

As for Marvel, what says X-Mas more than the X-Men?

Until next time, be Super!

Changes to Superman

Greetings Heroes!

Today, we're discussing updates to the Superman family.

As some of you might have seen, Superman is getting a Twilight-ish revamp.  This from http://www.comicbookmovie.com/:

Then, too, there is Connor Kent,  Clark's cleancut, Lex-made clone:

We include a recent interview, by way of http://www.newsarama.com,/ with DC writer Jeff Lemire, who is finding ways to humanize the Petrie-dish Kryptonian, who is now living in Smallville and pretending to be Clark's cousin: News on Conner Kent, Superman's clone

Until next time heroes, be Super!

Hello Heroes!

Hello Heroes!

This blog is my way of furthering the discussions and topics found in my book, Caped Crusaders 101.  Together with my good friend David Rojas, we hope to offer insights on some of the monthly offerings of Marvel and DC Comics.

Stay tuned and, in the meantime, be Super!
